Rainbow Cricket Club’s Blessing Mafuwa accused of passing disparaging remark based on Raza’s Pakistani heritage_

HARARE – Blessing Mafuwa, coach of the Rainbow Cricket Club, has been suspended for allegedly racially abusing Zimbabwe T20 captain Sikandar Raza during a Vigne Cup tie in Harare on June 1.

Raza was playing for Old Hararians and was walking off the pitch when Mafuwa allegedly made reference to his Pakistani heritage in a disparaging tone.

Raza registered a complaint with the Harare Metropolitan Cricket Association (HMCA) who suspended Mafuwa and summoned him to a hearing on Tuesday, according to chairman Tafadzwa Madoro.
