Leslie Tebogo from Botswana becomes the first African in history to win the 200m sprint at the Olympics.

His win is Botswana’ s first ever gold at the Paris Olympics.

The euphoria in Botswana in the wake of his win led President Eric Masisi to give Batswana a Friday afternoon day-off saying they ‘deserve to pause and celebrate’.
